Poder Latinx is a civic and social justice organization dedicated to building and strengthening the political power of the Latinx community in key battleground states and nationwide. To build on the work they did through their first grant from Progressive Multiplier, which grew their individual donor list through targeted ad testing with the Spanish media outlet El Tiempo, Poder Latinx is investing a second grant in expanding on their past success while also improving donor stewardship and acquisition with integrated voter engagement.
With the second grant, Poder Latinx continues its partnership with El Tiempo by running digital ads in the previous three states they targeted — Arizona, Georgia, and Florida — and expanding to Texas and California. The ads will encourage voter engagement and donor acquisition while increasing donor engagement and stewardship to improve retention rates. They are using the information they gather about the impact cultural relevance has on the success of the ads to refine messaging further. In addition, they have updated their campaign donation pages to include specific value propositions.
Poder Latinx continues to build their base through organizing and will add giving to the calls to action that their organizers use. Leads generated through the digital ads will be added to their engagement program.
The goals of this project are to acquire 200 new donors, retain 15% of past donors, recapture 100 lapsed donors, and add 50 recurring donations. In total, Poder Latinx expects to raise $60,000 from this effort.
Poder Latinx is a civic and social justice organization dedicated to building and strengthening the political power of the Latinx community in key battleground states and nationwide. They lead a voter-integrated engagement program where all aspects of voter engagement, issue-based campaigns, leadership development, voting reform, and protection, and narrative change form a continuous cycle of political consciousness.
This project is currently in progress; final results will be shared in a case study at a later date.
