Youth In Action Rhode Island (YIA) is on a mission to empower young people as agents of change in their communities. Known for its transformative youth leadership programming and commitment to intergenerational collaboration, YIA is taking its work to the next level with a project that monetizes its expertise while amplifying its impact.
By monetizing their expertise through youth-led workshops, they blend innovative financial strategies with their core mission to create opportunities for youth to become agents of change.
YIA is launching a train-the-trainer model to transform its curriculum into a source of revenue. Youth members will lead workshops, offering monetized versions of YIA’s proven programming to schools, nonprofits, and businesses looking to create intergenerational spaces.
YIA will:
With a bold three-year goal, YIA aims to achieve a 2.5 return on investment and generate $122,000 in net revenue, positioning itself for significant growth.
Independent revenue generation helps YIA create a stable and sustainable revenue stream where the funds raised can remain responsive to the needs of our youth and our agency as a whole. By building an earned income model that is inherently tied to our mission, we will simultaneously increase our impact and credibility as we grow intergenerational spaces with partners across our state and region.
