Illinois Coalition for Immigrant and Refugee Rights: Amplifying Impact
The Illinois Coalition for Immigrant and Refugee Rights (ICIRR) is dedicated to promoting the rights of immigrants and refugees to full and equal participation in the civic, cultural, social, and political life of our diverse society. With a grant from Progressive Multiplier, they are embarking on a revenue generation project that will also provide financial, operational, and human resources support to member organizations.
ICIRR’s project will provide services to members through vendors, sponsors, and their own expert capabilities. ICIRR will receive a referral fee when connecting a member with an outside group. They are working to identify a database of vendors, a menu of benefits, and the associated prices.
To build their program, ICIRR is identifying organizations in their network who may be in need of these services, including those who have no accountant, no human resources support, and no audit in the last two years.
Currently, there are 10 member organizations — discovered mainly through referral — that are interested. In addition, ICIRR has secured five vendor agreements or sponsorships.
The Illinois Coalition for Immigrant and Refugee Rights is a statewide coalition of 130 organizations dedicated to promoting the rights of immigrants and refugees to full and equal participation in the civic, cultural, social, and political life of our diverse society.
This project is currently in progress; final results will be shared in a case study at a later date.
