The Radical Act of Caring -- For Each Other, For the Movement

We feel the collective concern for what the results of this week means to the work of our movement.

The work we do as organizers, fundraisers, community-builders, and storytellers requires us to take care of ourselves first. We do the work because we care. For each other, for our communities - for the movement. This radical act of caring strengthens our ability to support the partners and communities who organize to achieve justice, realize democracy, and restore the environment.

Our commitment at this moment is to light a fire under all parts of the progressive movement ecosystem to bring about faster change in how groups can organize financial capital, and by who and how those capital investments are made. 

As you continue to organize and lift up communities of color, immigrants, women, young people—fighting for LGBTQ+ rights, education, and reproductive rights. We hope that you are also finding the time to take care of yourself and those around you. The road ahead is going to be a long one, and we must engage in radical acts of love and care.
